The firm of Callier & Garza, L.L.P. is formed around board certified principals, Joseph Alan Callier and Bernardo S. Garza (50+ years of combined experience). Messrs. Callier and Garza are skilled, problem solving trial attorneys based in Houston, but practice throughout the State of Texas. The firm was founded in 1985.
The firm represents private and public entities in state and federal court in claims involving: general negligence (motor vehicles, equipment and premises); products liability (industrial and household); toxic torts (chemical and airborne particulate matter); commercial (construction, contracts, warranties and indemnity); consumer (DTPA and RCLA); employment (Title VII, FLSA, ADA, ADEA and retaliatory discharge); and civil rights (§1983).
PHILOSOPHY
The firm of Callier & Garza believes that quality legal service requires attorneys to be ever mindful that, although successful, clients abhor a Pyrrhic Victory. Therefore, the firm is dedicated to client communication; a thorough and honest assessment (including a budget and early and continuing cost/benefit analyses) of the matter entrusted to the firm.
Additionally, since clients bear the risk of adverse trial results (and failing to prepare is preparing to fail), the firm positions its clients to negotiate from positions of strength by preparing all matters with a view towards trial resolution-nothing encourages party reasonableness (settlement) more than the fact that their opponent has detected, developed, and is prepared (factually, legally, procedurally and technically) to exploit all weaknesses in their case.
STAFFING
Although a litigation boutique, Callier & Garza staffs all matters with a partner, associate attorney and legal assistant and, when appropriate, utilizes the services of contract attorneys for review and production of generic, but voluminous, documents. Staffing is based on the firm philosophy of effective and efficient utilization of personnel appropriate for the entrusted matter.
